About Thrissur

Trichur, the cultural capital of Kerala, was created by nature and discovered by Sakthan Thampuran, the strongest of the Cochin Dynasty. He cleared the southern teak forests, promoted merchants and provided settlements for them to reside in and began the famous pooram festival. Thus a new prospering haven of harmonious culture came into existence. A calm town of mercantile and residential nature, with its centre at the Vadakkumnatan temple, Trichur was a meeting point of various cultures. People of different beliefs and linguistic origin lived in amity. Merchants, intellectuals, artists, literary giants and powerful kings lived here. And this tradition grew further.

Now, a city bearing the Sahitya Academy, the Lalita Kala Academy and many a centre of learning, Trichur keeps the tradition high.

So, we decided to plan our next residential venue for you in Trichur. South park is located on the southern side of the town, in Sakthan Thampuran Nagar.
